Karpushkines
Хорошие истории однажды заканчиваются
The album “Good Stories End Someday” ("Хорошие истории однажды заканчиваются") from Volgograd indie-rock one man band project Karpuskines is an immersion into the atmosphere of melancholy and tender nostalgia. This predominantly acoustic release in the intonations of pop music at its best (music that appeals to feelings that everyone can understand) creates a unique sonic palette where each track is imbued with a subtle sadness and reflections on how everything is temporary and transitory.

Loss brings with it melancholy and new hope. The music promises that in a different way, in a different way than before, new discovery and new joy are possible. Life goes on, despite the losses, despite the fact that good stories end, because new stories are possible, new colors are possible - including those created by music-reflection.

The songs of the album, performed with guitar accompaniment, are enriched with light jazz intonations, which gives the music a special depth and atmosphere. Karpushkin's voice, with its soft and sensual timbre, perfectly complements the minimalistic instrumental arrangements, creating a unified whole that allows the listener to fully immerse into the world of memories and personal experiences. The album seems extremely personal and sincere - it is an individual confession in melodies and sounds, in which everyone will find something familiar, something reminiscent of their own experience.
