Homoleilus
Light
According to the author Homoleilus, the album Light is dedicated to the transcendent figure of Christ. It is about the invisible struggle for Truth that takes place at the core of every being’s essence. Who is the One in whose image we are created? How do two natures—Divine and human—unite in one Person? The attempt to contemplate these questions through sound is captured in this album.

The album consist of three tracks—a nod to the Trinity of God’s Being. The first track begins with abstract, somber ambient sounds and ends in the form of prayerful reverence. The second is about the hope of salvation, woven from recurring guitar motifs and drones. The third features guitar arpeggios with spoken word—a riddle-like fairy tale.

According to Homoleilus, this album is pure contemplation, pure reflection, and bliss. It is the result of seclusion and solitude in their positive aspect.

Homoleilus is a musical project by our resident artist who publishes his artworks under the pseudonym Zazar.

Homoleilus/Zazar was born in Makhachkala in 1990. He has been drawing since childhood. Trained as a doctor, he continues to work in the field. During his student years, he became interested in the interaction and correlation between the body and its environment—its position in space and connection to it. Eventually, this led him to reject Kantian correlationism and return to "things in themselves" in the spirit of phenomenology.

In 2016, symptoms of an unspecified mental disorder emerged, accompanied by terrifying "attacks"—tormenting streams of uncontrollable thought-forms. Today, the artist has been in stable condition for a long time.

Zazar has been making music since the age of 16, releasing around six albums spanning various genres, from experimental electronics to instrumental music. However, after discovering the band "я слева сверху", he realized that it wasn't music in the traditional sense but rather thought abstractly conveyed through sound. This revelation shifted his focus to conceptual visual art, aiming to express thought itself.
